Jackson Hole Summer Activities

Fishing

Jackson Hole, Wyoming – a fisherman’s paradise. Just north, in Yellowstone National Park, the majestic headwaters of the Snake River sport a fisherman’ s bounty, abundant in native Snake River Cutthroat. Flowing south the river enters Jackson Lake before making its way to Jackson and the Snake River Canyon. Along the way water flows in from rich fishing streams. Cast your fly into Buffalo Creek, Gros Ventre River, Flat Creek or the Hoback River all equally fertile in native species.  South of Jackson the Snake sheds the confines of the canyon walls where it spills into the Palisades Reservoir before making its way into Idaho to become the legendary South Fork of the Snake River.

From Jackson Hole, access to the Snake and other world-class fishing is just a fly-cast away. To experience it at its best, visit one of our local fly-fishing shops to purchase maps, flies, and equipment. Hear first-hand where the fish are biting and what flies are attracting them. Jackson Hole, Wyoming – You’ll come to fish and you’ll leave with fish tales that others may never experience! Good luck and tight lines.
