A cool hike!

Posted on: August 23rd, 2012 by anglersinn No Comments

An easy to moderate hike that can be squeezed into your day is Ski Lake. It is

only 4 miles and takes about 2 hours from start to finish.

The trailhead is only a 20 minute drive from the Anglers Inn. From Jackson head

west on HWY 22 through the town of Wilson and up Teton Pass. Approximately

2 miles into the ascent of the pass, you will come to the parking area for the

trailhead. The trail begins on the north, right, side of the highway.

This well maintained hiking trail takes you through wooded meadows where

you will see wildflowers and often wildlife. After 2 miles you arrive at beautiful

Ski Lake where you enjoy the gorgeous scenery and mountain cirque that

serves as the dramatic backdrop to the blue alpine lake and the wide open

view of the Jackson Hole Valley. Follow the trail back to the trailhead and a

drive back to the town of Jackson and the Anglers Inn.
