Details: The International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race was founded in 1996 by Frank Teasley to make sled dog racing more accessible to the public.
The grand kick off is to be followed by free and fun activities in all the communities along the race route as this biggest sled dog race in the lower 48 winds its way through snowy Wyoming toward its Park City, Utah, finish on Feb. 2.
Twenty-two teams will depart from the starting line in Jackson’s Town Square on January 25 at the start of the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race (IPSSSDR). The race, the largest sled dog race in the lower 48 states, will continue from Jackson to separate stages in the small Wyoming communities of Lander, Pinedale, Cora, Big Piney, Marbleton, Alpine, Kemmerer, Diamondville, Evanston, Mountain View and Lyman before finishing in Park City, Utah on February 5.
Communities on the race route host various festivities to welcome mushers and dogs as they speed through town, offering Dutch oven dinners, flapjack frenzies and musher mania events that include a human sled dog race and snowshoe softball.

An easy to moderate hike that can be squeezed into your day is Ski Lake. It is
only 4 miles and takes about 2 hours from start to finish.
The trailhead is only a 20 minute drive from the Anglers Inn. From Jackson head
west on HWY 22 through the town of Wilson and up Teton Pass. Approximately
2 miles into the ascent of the pass, you will come to the parking area for the
trailhead. The trail begins on the north, right, side of the highway.
This well maintained hiking trail takes you through wooded meadows where
you will see wildflowers and often wildlife. After 2 miles you arrive at beautiful
Ski Lake where you enjoy the gorgeous scenery and mountain cirque that
serves as the dramatic backdrop to the blue alpine lake and the wide open
view of the Jackson Hole Valley. Follow the trail back to the trailhead and a
drive back to the town of Jackson and the Anglers Inn.
After an extensive renovation the Cottage at Anglers Inn is now available for

Summer has arrived in Jackson Hole. The temperatures at in the 70′s during the day, wild flowers are abundant and best of all the Snake River is clearing. Father’s Day is a couple of days away and a great day to start fishing the Snake. The run off and snow melt has been early this year so we fish early. Come enjoy Jackson Hole and most of all the Anglers Inn. Our Cabin is just about ready, two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, nice lawn for barbecues, a great way to vista Jackson Hole.
